A Problem in USA 1990

I remember the first day I went to ESL school in USA .In the morning I went to the bus to school. My friend showed me the bus numbers to get school. So I got the right bus and came to school. I was scared but very happy at School when I finished school, I came back to the same bus station but this time the bus had a different I thought it was the same bus as last time. The bus driver drove me about a hours. I felt very scared because nobody was on the bus. Later that bus driver asked me something but I did not understand what he said and then he did not talk any more. Finally the bus stopped inside the bus station. I almost cried. He went inside the office to do something. About ten minutes later I saw a police car come. He talked with the bus driver and then asked me where I live or something about a phone. It was lucky I understood and gave the police my phone number and the police took me home. I was very happy to get home and said thank you a lot. The police man laughed and he said something, but I think he said do not worry, take care. That was my first day I went to school in USA.

My first son Cristofer was born in Dominican Republic in 1986, my daughter Marian was born New York in 1989 and my young son Crisamel was born in New York too in 1996.
I have a nice family. My oldest son does not continue school but he works, my daughter continue to studies, she studies accounting and my younger son is in high school.
My family now is bigger because I have a grandson. His name is Justin. He was born in January of this year.
Only my mother lives in my country she is very important for me because she worked hard for me and my two sisters.

A Hit and Run

Last month the worst day was about my car at school. I always checked around the car before I left the parking lot.
That day I discovered my car had major damage as someone had hit the side of my car while I studied at school I couldn’t open the door because it had a problem. Sadly, I didn’t know who did that. I felt sad about it. I didn’t believe that was my car .I carefully double checked again about license tab numbers because I wanted to make sure it was my car .Then I reported to the lady inside the office on the first floor and one security office from school followed me to my car. He called the police to come to school. After several minutes when the police checked my car “big damage,” he said, and the policeman asked me some questions for examples “driver’s license, insurance card”. Lastly, the policeman gave me his name and phone numbers. Next, I reported to my insurance people who estimated about $4,000 for my car. I needed to fix it; therefore, I must pay $500 deductable for them.
Right now, I am still not happy when I remember that worst day.

I will tell you about my wedding. The wedding is a beautiful act in the life of people. A strong pair is very welcome in society. This happened in my life one day. I met my prince who rode on a white horse. I felt very happy. I was 25 years old and my husband was 27 years old. Our wedding was very nice. At our wedding more than 500 people (friends and relatives) came to celebrate together. There also was a lot of food that was delicious and tasty. The Christian music was very nice and the program was very interesting. The wedding started at 10:00a.m and ended at 6:00p.m. After that my husband and I, and many friends went to the forest in the middle of marvelous nature. There we took pictures and sang songs. The friends hit their forks on their plates and that meant we must kiss. Also, all together we ate a cake. Then, one of our friends took my shoes and put them in a tree far away. The friends asked of my spouse $1000 or he must carry me to look for my shoes. He found my shoes with me in his arms. It was very funny and interesting. At the time of our weeding fourteen years ago. We are always happy, even if we have problems, but together and by means of God, the life is passing. I love my husband and he loves me. And together we have two children ,a daughter, Manuela who is 13 years old ,and a son ,Marius,who is nearly 12 years old . God bless us. And our family is happy.

A Good Place to Visit in My Country

I am Hmong. I am from Laos. My country is in Southeast Asia between Thailand and Vietnam. A good time to visit my country is in the fall: August, September, and October. The weather is nice and people like to go the park. If you visit Laos, you should go to the Statue “Vaxienkhoung.” It is a good place to visit. It is in downtown Vientiane near the river Makhong across from Thailand and Laos. It is a large temple in Laos. It looks like a big and nice person. There about 6-7 stores in front of the temple where you can buy waters and fruits. The statue is in the middle. There are trees around the temple. If you go there, you can take pictures and walk around the temple and look at the statue or the river Makhong. I think you will have lots of fun if you go to the statue Vaxienkhoung in Laos.

I am from Laos. My country is in Asia between Thailand and Vietnam. There are about 6 million people. People in my country are friendly and they always invite you to dinner or lunch at their house. When we have free time we like to sew Hmong traditional clothes. The weather in my country is always warm and humid. There is no winter. The best time to visit my country is during the cold seasons in America because it will be cool in my country at that time. The typical food in my country is rice, vegetables and boiled chicken. Some typical jobs that people have are teacher, doctors, flea market store owners and farmer. One problem that my country has, it is hard to find jobs and money because the economy is very bad. The best thing in my country that is better than in the U.S. is the house bills are very low or none at all. The fruit and vegetables are grown naturally. One thing that is better in the U.S. than in my country is finding jobs, food, and everyone has a car to drive. One interesting thing about my native country is the scenery is beautiful, and there are a few big stone jars and waterfalls.

I am from Belarus. My country is in central Europe, near Russia, next to Poland. A good time to visit my country is in summer: June and July. The weather is nice, everything is green. If you come to Belarus, I think you should visit the National Library. It is located in Minsk, near Independence Avenue, next to the subway “East” and the bus station “Moskovski”. It has 17 floors. It is diamond shaped. You can go to the top of the building and see the whole city. You can see many reading rooms, conference rooms, computer rooms, and a café. You can try national food. I think you will have lots of fun it you go to the National Library.

My name is Hector. I came from Santo Domingo. My country is next to Haiti and Puerto Rico. Santo Domingo has about 12 million people. When we have free time, we like to play dominoes, listen to music and cook. The weather in my country is tropical. We have nIce temperature; it is 80° to 85°. Sometimes it rains a lot. You can visit Santo Domingo anytime; it is great weather in my country. We have different typical food; you can get rice, mangu, tostones, chicken and sancocho. What is better in my country than in U.S. is you can get a house; it is not hard to pay rent. Something that is better in the U.S. is making money and getting jobs.
