Winter weather in my native country is cold, but warmer than winter in Minnesota. Temperatures can be from -20 C to +9 C. It is cloudy, with much snow, and sometimes rain.
People eat different food: meat, fish, bread, butter, potatoes, milk, hot tea, coffee, vegetables and fruit to stay warm.
People in winter wear warm clothes. I like winter in my country. I like to play hockey and go skiing. I like winter in Belarus better than winter in Minnesota.

Winter in my native country city Phounsavan has no snow. When I was younger, I used to enjoy playing ball on New Year ’s Day. Before I came to this country, I had not seen snow. Something I don’t enjoy doing here in the winter is shoveling. The best thing about winter is sport: hockey, skiing, skating. The worst thing about winter it is dangerous to drive. Winter in Somalia is very different than winter in Minnesota because Somalia has no snow. There are showers four months a year. Four months in summer temperature is 100 degrees F. Sometimes it is very hot and it is not normal. Sometimes in the North of Somalia it is so hot people move to another city. Some cities are normal because there are many mountains. In my country there are three seasons: four months summer, four months spring and four months rain season. The spring is very different in Minnesota because it doesn’t get warm until May. Spring in Somalia is very beautiful. I like spring in Minnesota better than spring in Somalia. I like winter in Minnesota but it is different than in my country. The weather in Minnesota is cold. When I came to Minnesota, I saw the first snow.

I remember that time when I got up in the morning I looked out the window and saw the snow covering the ground and everything was nice.
